Week of 3/11 - Interview w/ Professor John Dernbach
“Do what you're good at, what you enjoy doing, and what interests you. And find a way to build sustainability and climate change mitigation and adaptation into it.”
“Do what you're good at, what you enjoy doing, and what interests you. And find a way to build sustainability and climate change mitigation and adaptation into it.”
It really is that simple, and Professor John Dernbach has other advice for building a climate-conscious practice, regardless of your role or experience, in the next installment in our planetary lawyer interview series.
Professor Dernbach is a nationally and internationally recognized authority on sustainable development, climate change, and environmental law.
He teaches Environmental Law and Sustainability at Widener University School of Law and serves as Director of its Environmental Law and Sustainability Center.
In the interview, Professor Dernbach also shares how to get your foot in the door with climate-conscious work: “As starting points, figure out what work other lawyers in your peer group are doing on these issues, and what your clients’ competitors are doing. Learn how climate change is affecting your clients, and what risks and opportunities climate change and sustainability present your clients.”
